A historical place to photograph–some disdain this structure…

Another shoot without a cloud in the sky

I shot these at 300mm. Next time I will shoot at 400mm. I want the Market House and the sun’s effect on it as the sun rises due east of the Market House. For the photographers in the 100 block of Hay Street, that will be November 11th. From my perch, 4 days later. I plan to shoot both…

The best skies so far in this series

The point of sunrise nears Fayetteville’s most know landmark–the Market House as it journey to its southern-most point on December 21st–Winter Soltice.

From the place I am taking pictures, the sun will rise behind the Market House, Thursday, November 15, 2018, and again on its journey to its north-most point–Summer Soltice, Friday, January 26, 2019. Most of those taking pictures will see this magical sunrise on its southern pass 4 days earlier, November 11th–Veterans Day and 4 days later in January.

The last four years, I have photographed Market House Sunrises on at least one of of the sun’s annual passes and from different perspectives.

I am closer to my photo setup for 11/11 and thereafter for a sunrise directly behind the Market House.
