Photography ~ Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM Telephoto Lens + EF 2X III & CamRanger, 09/24

The 2X III is a lens extender = 800mm

Although good close-ups, I can discern some lessening of sharpness in these pics as compared to the pictures I took earlier today @ 400mm [no extender being used]. The lack of bright sunlight is also a factor–skies are very overcast. The lighting is all ambient.

I think there are shots, other than lunar [some stacked and sharpened] and solar photographs where an extender is useful–particularly as compared to the cost of an 800mm prime lens. Anyway, here you have some of my pics for comparison.

Photography ~ Liriope green berries, in the dark, 09/17

I think nighttime photography yeilds compelling photos…

Here’s the setup–sans the Lume Cube Lighting.

Again, CamRanger & the iPad prove indispensable.

Camera Gear/Kit ~ CamRanger, PT Hub, & MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head–mounted on Platypod Pro Max, 09/17

Ready for close to the ground shots using CamRanger & iPad Pro 10.5

With the gear I have, multiple configurations are possible, relative to the type picture in my mind’s eye. For that, I am thankful!

This setup gave me the picture below–planning for tonight, as well. I think pics after dark are more interesting [What do you think?]–lighting is key. My focus [the object of this shot] is actually the Liriope’s green berries–black in the fall._MG_1900.CR2

Now, the Sans… I have been growing for years. It has even bloomed!

Photography ~ Gardening–Content Plants [Citronella & Sansevieria Trifasciata], 09/16

…or so they seem…

For the most part, I am getting nice healthy growth from most of my plants. The end of September [09/25] marks a year since I added these plants. Boy, have they done well! I am amazed how aromatic and easy to grow, even in pots, citronellas are. I will probably winter this one indoors. It goes back to 06/03.
