Fitness ~ Walk–Transportation to Photo Job [Completed, to include walk home.], 03/30

There & back. Yeah!!!

I walked 2.94 miles to get to the job and 2.92 miles to get home. I varied the route home a bit, but still a grid walk. The variance of 0.02 miles could be attributed to GPS inaccuracy. Anyway, the transport part of the job is finished. It was a really cool walk there. I wore thin gloves. I should have worn my mittens. It was chilly enough [around 41°] that I felt like I was walking on blocks of ice coming home. At time, it seemed I was a drunk man walking.

Fitness ~ Tokay Fitness Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina, 06/09

I have mentioned weightlifting at the Tokay Fitness Center. Above are a few snaps of the Nautilus equipment we use. The best to Brian Gaskell for his care.

Fitness ~ Cycling, Monday Morning–Because I Can, 06/08!

Since I had not climbed the hill of the Cape Fear River Trail since June 5, 2013, with Brian Gaskell, I knew it important establish I can with my road bike.  I will be a GREAT challenge to do so on a single speed bike. Anyway, this morning’s ride after I lifted weights at the Tokay Fitness Center.

North Carolina Trailhead named to honor “Bicycle Man”

Moses Mathis worked hard for 22 years to put smiles on the faces of Fayetteville, North Carolina, children by providing free bicycles to them at Christmas time.

Over the years, he became known as the “Bicycle Man.” Since he started the program in his Tiffany Pines neighborhood in 1990, Mathis and his team of volunteers refurbished and distributed some 26,000 bicycles.
