The race results above are from the Cross Creek Cycling Club (C4) Website.

I spent my weekend supporting the above events. Here is a local news story. Check photo #3 in the news story and enlarge it.

I have one more weekend to continue my training effort for the Florida Tour. Today, I got in a 18-mile DF ride. I hope to do a 30-mile S-XP ride tomorrow. This is also the day the rear wheel is to be rebuilt. Time is getting short. There is still much to do.

Next S-XP Venture

The Cross Creek Cycling Club (C4) sponsors the 2006 Dragon’s Challenge Omnium at Fort Bragg and Fayetteville, North Carolina this weekend. I am one of the C4 members supporting the Omnium. Rather than drive my vehichle to the Saturday & Sunday events, I’ll ride my Stratus. I’ve made a few modifications and will check them out.

Event Description: Memorial weekend in the “All American” city is great way to honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. From All American Week on Fort Bragg to the Glory Days Celebration in historic Fayetteville, come and enjoy a bit of history, the festivities, and of course the great races of the 2006 Dragon’s Challenge Omnium. The Time Trial and Road Race will be held on Fort Bragg and the Criterium will be on Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville.

The All American Trail opened today, April 21, 2006

The All American Trail at Ft. Bragg, NC. opened today, Friday, April 21, 2006, during grand opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m.
See the portion of the trail we rode at MotionBased web site. There were ~20 riders. Ten or so are from the Cross Creek Cycling Club. Our Club President also attended, but could not ride today. I rode my Trek Y-22 in my C4 Club Jersey.

Play the Google Earth tour of the trail. (Select “Open this Placemark” once you are at the Google Community.)

The trail has curves, hills, and sand. It is not technical. It can be ridden fast.

Here are a few photographs…
Did we see you there???
