The best skies so far in this series
The point of sunrise nears Fayetteville’s most know landmark–the Market House as it journey to its southern-most point on December 21st–Winter Soltice.
From the place I am taking pictures, the sun will rise behind the Market House, Thursday, November 15, 2018, and again on its journey to its north-most point–Summer Soltice, Friday, January 26, 2019. Most of those taking pictures will see this magical sunrise on its southern pass 4 days earlier, November 11th–Veterans Day and 4 days later in January.
The last four years, I have photographed Market House Sunrises on at least one of of the sun’s annual passes and from different perspectives.

This, a camera in a box [van], for taking pictures in the rain.
I took the scenery images at the onset of Tropical Storm Michael in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area. For us, there was less wind and rain the with Tropical Storm Florence last month.
With the CamRanger Camera Rig on top of this tripod, it is just over 7-feet above the top of the van and about 16-feet above the ground. I am using my other Manfrotto Tripod. It is the one I use for my iOptron Skyguide Pro. I will have a ground and “sky” tripod set up for my sun rise shots the week of November 11th.
