DIY [#38] ~ A Stand for the Lifted Rhino-Rack/Pioneer Platform, 01/03

Safer on the ground than suspended in the air–cheaper too…

This is the last part of a former firewood rack. Several weeks ago, I used the end pieces of the wood rack to construct a mini-greenhouse. Today, a platform to distribute the weight of the roof rack after removing it from the van with the electric hoist. I plan to paint it black and put some type rubber mat on top of the plywood.

  1. …cheaper than buying 4 jack stands. Easier to construct than four 4×4 stands with braces. Plus, I can move the rack once it is on this stand. Forces are well distributed…
