I took a lot more than you see here…

With more time, I will eventually get the shot I want. Moon set tomorrow night is 34 minutes later and larger. If the sky is clear, I may try again…

  1. Initially, my aperture setting was too small, using aperture priority. The result was motion blur for the spinning earth. I then opened the lens completely–f/5.6. That stopped the motion blur. I have two that are overexposed [I think]. I should have bracketed my shots. Henceforth, I will. I have cropped these some. I like a bit of horizon in the photo. I manually focused the shots. I also expect to take moon pictures in manual mode from now on. Stay tuned…
