Photography–Wish List [Celestron C5 Spotting Scope], 05/18

Thanks to my son, Michael, a dream is closer to reality.

Celestron C5 Spotting ScopeI think about 3 years ago I researched and selected the Celestron C5 Spotting Scope as the “telescope” that will allow me to take detail pictures of the moon and capture interesting landscapes and other objects. [OBE, see this article.]

The product description states:

Using the C5 for photography couldn’t be easier. The C5 converts from a powerful spotting scope to a high performance 1250mm effective focal length f/10 telephoto lens. To take professional quality images with the C5, simply attach an optional T-Adapter and T-ring for your SLR camera to the rear of the C5 and you’re ready to shoot.

My research [always] includes searching the Internet [especially Flickr] for photos taken by others to assess the functionality of the equipment for the purpose I have in mind.

Anyway, I now have the T-Adapter and T-ring for my Canon EOS 6D thanks to my generous son, Michael, for surprise gifts [THANKS Mike! He reads my  wish list.] I received this past weekend. I am set once I have the C5. All photographic equipment is on hold until I purchase my Ford Transit Connect Van. I ordered it 02/01/2016.

All photographic equipment is on hold until I purchase my Ford Transit Connect Van. I ordered it 02/01/2016. To my knowledge, it is built. I have the VIN [04/29] and I have seen the window sticker [05/07]. Next week, I will go to the dealer to see if they have an estimated delivery date. I expect July–5 months after I ordered the van.

So, after the van arrives and I have set it up, I’ll then add items to my photographic kit. The C5 is at the top of my Wish List. We shall see!

Stay tuned…

Shout out to Michael Artis for the special gifts received this past weekend. I deeply appreciate them and will take pictures with the items as soon as I can. It is touching to receive items that help me with my photographic endeavors. –dad
