Technology ~ Added 2nd Monitor to Notebook, 02/27

Plugable MultimonitorRemoved one notebook from my system, yet wanted to use the monitor that was connected to it. The Plugable Multi-Display Adapter allows me to do so. Now, my remaining notebook has 2 monitors, both used as extended desktops–perfect for me.

Weather ~ The snow that wasn’t, Fayetteville, North Carolina, 02/26

Well, my town had rain all night. The 2-4 inches of forecasted snow was didn’t happen–not even freezing rain. Our temps were too warm…

2015-02-25_12-56-16The photo above, of those I took this morning and published here, has gained some notoriety.

Credit to Marjan Marksl, a Facebook friend, from Slovenia. He saw the face and ask if I had noted it. I had not until he pointed it out.

Subsequently, I uploaded a couple pictures to a local TV station, along with the “man face” on the right. They gave a like and retweeted it,

Thanks to Marjan for his astute observation…

If I have identified them correctly, they are Altocumulus Undulatus.

The width of these clouds is generally less than 300 feet (91.44 meters) thick. The presence of altocumulus undulatus may indicate precipitation within the next 20 hours or simply an overcast day.

[Google altocumulus undulatus cloud images].

Photography ~ It’s SNOWING, Fayetteville, North Carolina, 02/24

We do not get much snow in this town. So, when we do, it is worth noting. This gallery is my noting for this event. Last week, we had freezing rain. Tomorrow and Thursday, we have more snow in the forecast. That means I must find a unique way to note that event–thinking about it…
