Home ~ Backyard ~ Flowers ~ Perennial ~ Hydrangea, 04/16

My family had several Hydrangeas in the yard as I grew up. Now I have one. I look forward to it growing and the beautiful flowers. I have Silk Hydrangea Flowers in the house.

  1. Endless Summer® The Original Bigleaf Hydrangea:

Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Bailmer’ (PP15,298), has the unique ability to bloom on both old and new wood, ensuring consistent flowering year after year. The big mop-head type blooms can grow up to 8″ in diameter, and are a dazzling, deep blue. Large, dark green foliage adds to this showy summer bloomer and blooms through the summer and fall every year. This one has the ability to bloom as far north as Minnesota (maybe much further). This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. It requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between waterings The flowers are good for cutting and drying. Endless Summer prefers full sun and grows 3 to 5 feet in height and width.

    This yard will be colorful!

    Jim.
