First Joan, and now Lucy–both roosters. Of course, they were sold as pullets, thus the female names. There was little doubt from me, as they grew, that I had 4 males [cockerels] and 8 females [pullets]. There was to have been 12 ladies. I purchased 12, thinking I’d loose 2 and be a the city limit of 10. Well, with Lucy’s departure, I’ll be at 10, but with 2 of them being frisky boys or roos, as we call them. The two remaining are Golden-laced Wyanndottes. I think they [Pete & Junior] are quite handsome. Both of them are crowing. I hope less after the lead crower moves to his new home. This is about Lucy, the others are next.
