A photographic challenge ~ The Fayetteville Market House, Veterans Day 2010 ~ The day after, two other shots…

A few shots of downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina, with a focus on its Market House and the sunrise that peers through the east and west facing arcs of the structure. This happens twice a year as the earth’s tilt positions us to see the sun at its southern-most position—winter solstice. The first occasion is November 11th—Veterans Day and the second, January 29th.

I plan to be back then for another round of pictures. I hope you have found some that you like. I’ve uploaded to all related pictures to this flickr set.

Thanks to Mr. Johnny Horne for the inspiration.
