A photographic challenge ~ The Fayetteville Market House, Veterans Day 2010 ~ …the rest of the story

GOPR3419Mr. Horne has very nice crowd shots on his blog. Check them out!

I captured a few just as the observers were dispersing.

Then there is the GoPro Hero Camera that almost got run over. No serious damage, but the case lens cover was scratched and my little tripod lost a leg. The leg snapped back in. The lens cover will have to be replaced. The Hero survived!

It is good I had 3 cameras with me for this shoot. I hope to go for it again tomorrow, using my 35mm DSLR Camera exclusively, providing I can get a replacement battery today. Thanks for following. –jim

    1. Yep, a Gorillapod it is. Several cars turned around and were not even close. Then there is the exception. It could have been worst. The scratch on the lens cause a light refraction. I discarded those pictures. I knew I had risk, but wanted to get the shot. I think my best shots will come tomorrow.

Yes, the GoPro is truly wide-angle. I even cropped the pictures and the fish-eye effect remains.

      Thanks Zeke! –jim
