At this point, I think I have a workable routing of the pipes for the sand filters. This is a revision from the initial routing where the water head was lower than I expected.
Here I can send water from the pre-filter, on the right, to either SSF and from the SSF(s) to the potable water tote of to the sump [if the bio-layer is not yet making purified water].
I have yet to add an exit water to wet-harrow the sand. I will use 2″ PVC pipes. I also have the inside plumbing [input baffle & drain pipe for each SSF] to finish.
I’ll also have to use water level controls to keep the barrels for overflowing. Managing water levels is interesting…
