From this to this
The picture on the left shows my Power Box, which had the horn [remember my horny story] on its left side. The horn, the mode switch, and actuate switch connector have been removed. The horn is now positioned on the main tube beneath the seat. I used a Terracycle Clamp on Idler Mount to install the horn. I also made the connection modular, using DiNotte cords. The front connector leads to the horn button [on the right handlebar] and the rear connector will be connected to the 12-volt power bus.

Well, I hate to see the PowerBox become a thing of the past. It was quite a work of art plus spun off a good laugh over supper that evening, which we can’t go into here!
Looks like the revamped and weight lowering efforts will pay off when you get the rear end back.

Thanks Zeke,
No pun intended, of course.
Once it is all together again, I think the difference will be significant. I certainly hope so. I will always have fond memories of the PB and feel kind of sad disassembling it. I’ll never forget that evening–special if was–good friends and lots of laughs.
I’ll put up a piece on the solar panels in a bit. It should serve as a framework for Ashley’s work and my use of fabric. Please stay tuned…

Looks like you answered some of my previous questions with your reference to the Clamp On Idler Mounts. I always enjoyed playing with tinkertoys and legos.

I guess cycling apparatus are my tinkertoys and legos. I did a bit with the former, and more with legos with my son when he was a child. Building is very satisfying. I have a new solar “power box” I’m working on. I hope to get pictures of it up tomorrow. Thanks Dan! –jim
