Fargo lights [stop, turn, hazard & running] 1

DiNotte Lighting I really like DiNotte Lighting. You may have noticed I use their lighting exclusively. I find them good for what I want, in terms of safety and function. I particularly appreciate DiNotte Customer Service. I currently have 2 new AA 140L lights and 2 much older 200L lights. DiNotte will equip me with 6 140L Li-Ion lights for the purpose I described in my earlier articles [2 exchanges & 2 trade-ins]. This precludes having to carry and charge AA batteries for lighting and thereby helps me streamline weight.

Fargo ~ Mods & Tweaks ~ solar panels 5

This in more for planning to ensure the modified cage accommodates my lighting and supports the solar panels and the use of fabric for the top can be maximized. The intent here is to get the greatest weight reduction by using a smaller amount and thinnest Lexan we can. Again, I only see Lexan for the windshield and maybe a piece the size of the solar panels [22 5/16" x 38 1/2"] to support their weight. If fabric can be used here, all the better.

I placed a table/chair footer at the top of my left handlebar hand grip. I did this because I wore a hole through the hand grip while on tour. It became a  point of force from my hand as I mounted the quad. BTW, I can easily mount & dismount Fargo [cage & Lexan in place]

The picture above also has the DiNotte switch positioned for my left-turn signal.

The bell is present for cyclist and pedestrians.

The right handlebar has the horn button (red) [that plugs into the horn, with its modular connectors, now mounted on the frame].

Like to picture of the left handlebar, I have a separate DiNotte switch for my right-turn signal. It is just below the horn button.

Activate both buttons [at the same time] and we have emergency/hazard flashers.

The twist grip is for my 14-speed Rohloff Speed Drive, an IGH [Internal Geared Hub].

Except for the SPOT mounting location, the trike/quad is without electronic devices. I had those mounted on the cage and liked the positions. My plan is to duplicate what I used on tour. I plan to place switches for the DiNotte 400L Amber Daytime Lights & Tail Light and the 1200L Headlight on the cage front cross member where my Garmin Nuvi 760 & iPhone were located for the tour.
