Fargo on Tour ~ People Responses 10
I have had a myriad of responses to this cycle—Awesome! Cool! screams, yells, traffic turn arounds, photos, request to take pictures, lots of thumb-ups, I was even cut off by a retired state police officer and recumbent rider to talk about the quad. I had a lady bring me bottled water after her husband saw me riding, Knowing what velo riders experience, I was prepared. I’ve had one police office follow me into a Bed & Breakfast parking lot to see what I was up to with all the lights, etc. He said I just want to see what this is. Yesterday, a Bath policeman followed me and then pulled along side and said cool ride. I guess I should maintain a police counter to see how many I rack up.
Last night on a Brunswick, Maine street I heard [if my ears did not deceive me] a different recant—Ghetto Buggy! Now, that makes me wonder…
I’m not sure how to receive that. I think I’ve had gestures indicating low-rider. Yes, I have a cool ride, it has lights and stuff, and I guess you can see the driver, but Ghetto Buggy! I was not upset, I don’t think I was insulted, but Ghetto Buggy!
Okay, don’t start…

I’m calling it a maintenance day, Davis came over about 10:15 this morning to implement Ashley’s suggestions, as modified, so that the bearing remain in the differential and the axles in place. The work continued after the 11:00 a.m. check-out. I decided to work on a few other items, get more rest, and leave early tomorrow morning. I think the quad is ready to roll with no mechanical issues. I sure hope so.
Here are a two pics from this morning.
