Instruction to Image Graphics for Monday 7

This company is renown is this part of the country for their graphics. They did the graphics on 3 of my company vehicles in ‘97. Now, it is back to Betty Jo & Mark for this special job.

Hello Betty Jo & Mark,

You are to place my graphics on my quadricycle [“Quad”] Monday, 06/07,starting at 9:00 a.m. It will be good to see you again. Thank you for taking me.

Here are several pictures of this quad called Fargo.

I have attached the artwork which are vector files.

Here is what I want:

clip_image0021) Pin striping of the 4 side panels and the rear panel with black reflective tape similar to the way stage coaches [to the right] were pin stripped in the past. You may find pin striping the 2 front panels unnecessary because of the visibility of the bars they attach to. If so, I accept your judgment.

LOGO-final2ai2)  Placement of the Fargo artwork on the 2 rear quarter-panels mid-way between the top of the tire and the top of the panel and within the pin striping. I ask that reflective vinyl be used. The graphic is grayscale. There is a larger image below.

3) I want the same graphic on the rear panel, as large as will fit within the pin striping.

LAYOUT-6 top cut4) The Tour of Discovery graphic is to go on the lower part of the 2 front panels [left & right] and placed within the pin striping, if used. I want this on reflective vinyl also.

5) I have a special credit graphic [below] to be placed in the top area of the 2 front panels [left & right] that is be readable close up, but not from afar. Please select the best font and font color. I’m thinking white, but black may work best. Logo and text content is below.

That is it. The scope of the job is different from my initial discussions with you. The rear and front graphics have been added. Thank you for your time. I look forward to seeing the results. I assure you your work will be seen by many. See you Monday.

Best regards,

Jim Artis

Andie’s Ride for the Republic Graphic 2

LAYOUT-6 top cut At least, I want interested people to see that the quad is on tour and the “driver” is pedaling from Bar Harbor, Maine to Key West, Florida. I arrived at the idea of using the Adventure Cycling Atlantic Coast Route Map [prepared by Rafael]; a black circle background; and yellow text [as Mr. G does] to explain it all.

Andie, my graphics artist, asked if I wanted her to put it together for me to ease my session with my installer on Monday morning. From her, I’ll have a vector graphic file ready for printing. Of the options Andie prepared [6 of them], I prefer this one.

Thanks Andie!

Zeke makes a special announcement to the Waynesville Rotary Club 2

Hi to all,

For those of you interested in following Jim Artis’ upcoming adventure:

Here is one of the images of Fargo, his quadricycle, just prior to being shipped from Utah. This will give you a good look at the nearly finished product. There are still graphics and pin-striping to be applied, as well as, installation of the solar panels, electronic tools, etc. Jim will be picking up Fargo in Charlotte tomorrow (Friday morning) and then going full steam into final prep and packing for the trip. He leaves in 7 days!  If you would like to see additional images of Fargo in its pre-shipping stage, go to http://cyclingexperiences.com and scroll through the various posts. You can also see the Fargo graphic that will be applied to each of the rear quarter panels. Now, here’s the image…
