The success of last year’s continental crossing of the 2009 Tour of Discovery has encouraged me to go back on the road. Having shared more than 10,000 majestic photographs and 130 vibrant videos of our America with countless worldwide viewers through my blog, newspaper articles, and TV, was an exceptional experience that established a foundation to engage, educate, and inspire young minds.

My goal for this year is to report from the road as I tour across the 13 original states of the American Union in my “Ride for the Republic.” Beginning on June 14th (Flag Day) and during 60 days, I will cycle 2,700 miles across America from Bar Harbor, Maine to Key West, Florida.
