I’ve discovered the best tent for me for this tour—relatively small, yet I can move about and dress therein. It is not too heavy @ 5lbs 12ozs. It is the Eureka Apex 2XT Adventure 7′ 5″ by 4′ 11″ Two-Person Tent. Here are a few pictures of the tent, without the fly [and w/fly].

that is the tent I have been using for ragbrai the past 3 yrs and will continue to use until it dies. It is a good design for the cost. But be careful to seam seal all the seams very well. And be gentle with opening the no seeum netting of the doors. I have torn mine and had to sew a patch inplace. It is a bit delicate but should serve you well. I also have the four man version and find it much more comfortable when stowing gear inside.
