Today my Velokraft VK2 was purchased 4

MarathonFoto2I  did not have this one for sale. Just a mention of switching components to the Catbike Musashi. I received several email inquiries from a fellow BROL member who wants my VK2. I relented.

This picture was taken during my 2008 double-century ride from Seattle to Portland.

My VK2 will be going to a home in Texas. I will keep my Zipp Wheel. The other components remain with the cycle. I’ll prepare if to go to my LBS tomorrow and take it when I pick up the RANS Stratus XP to ship to Michele.

At this point, thinks are moving kind of fast, Now, if the two bikes with my sales agent go quickly—all is well.

RAAM 2010

Jim VerheulTravisP says: Jim Verheul was asked to ride on a four man team for the 2005 RAAM. At the time he had back problems and did not race. He still has back problems but at Furnace Creek and the Race Across Oregon he has since learned what he is able to do. Verheul credits riding recumbents with keeping him loose and off drugs he might otherwise need. He is training for RAAM by working to increase his power and reduce his weight. These are short intense workouts rather than the long miles a solo rider puts in.

TravisP’s piece on Dana in the Recumbent Journal tells us about the man as well as I might. Dana owns Bent Up Cycles and has sponsored RAAM racers for several years. This year, he is one. GO DANA!
