A Trailer for Fargo ~ DIY ~ Light Magic 2

Well, not magic at all, but practical. I have commented on the function of my DiNotte AA trailer lights that will allow me to turn them  on & off from my seat. My original plan was to turn them on at the beginning of the day and leave them on. If I wanted to turn them off, go to the trailer and press the button for each light. Easy—right? Then, Mt_Top [BROL Member, a.k.a. Russell] asked how I was going to control the lights.

Did you figure out a way to turn the DiNotte’s on/off without having to touch them, e.g., a switch on the wire somewhere more convenient then the switch built into the light?

I answered, but started thinking.

I had not planned that level of control for the trailer. At this point, I plan light-switch control. If I choose to do otherwise, it would be a switch between the battery and the lights. For this tour, I am looking to avoid wires between the trailer and quad–maybe a wireless switch one day. The other option is directional indicators and brake light–maybe next year. Thanks for asking. –jim
