I wanted an all terrain quad useable on rocks, sand, streets, snow, whatever. Lots of suspension travel and ground clearance, wide gearing, big tires. Yes it does take more energy to pedal, but makes up for it in comfort and control. Instead of bouncing off rocks or displacing a lot of soil, we can tread lightly and have less impact on the environment.

The electric assist is just an option, and is small enough to be charged off a few PV panels.
