A Trailer for Fargo ~ DIY ~ [flag & lighting] 6

Original lighting planActually, this is A Trailer for Fargo ~ DIY ~ [pre-Step Four] continued. You saw my original DiNotte lighting plan as I answered the "Where to put the tail lights?" question.

Well, little did I know that I’d come up with a flag mount that would encroach on my lighting space—somewhat.

Looking closely, you see the problem is solved. I’ll mount the 2 lights slightly outbound on my intended locations above. Now, I can use O-rings versus Cateye Light Mounts. DiNotte has light mounts on their way for my trailer. I have O-rings and I can get more as needed.

Flags go in the 2 PVC holders you see. Once I cover the mount with heat-shrink-tubing, I’ll drill a drain hole at the bottom of  each flag holder and a hole for a cotter-key to prevent flag loss. I also have to make sure the flag mounts stay vertical—locked as you see them. I think I’ll use zip ties near the center plate to lock the mounting bar in place. The clamp I’m using does not have enough friction.
