Yesterday, I listed several items relating to the next step in my Fargo Trailer Build. Today, I have several pictures [also in my flickr trailer photoset] to show you where I am. I hope to complete Step Four on Tuesday, 02/16. Here are pictures showing the mounts I’ll use for my fenders & flags. Note the yellow coloring—it is paper I used it to help me decide on the color for the PVC pipe. I’ll use yellow heat-shrink-tubing for the mounts and the shaft of my flag poles. The elbows will also be yellow as will the complete length of the tubes.

Also note the trailer stand that holds the trailer level when it is not connected to the quad [all the time now].
The fender mount is set to be a facsimile of a seat post for a Topeak DeFender™ M2 Fender. A pair of them are to arrive on Tuesday. I used a part of this fender as I setup my Catrike 700 {Silk}. I have enough left to approximate its fit on the trailer. I may reduce the height of the front poles once I know the best fender position. Please see the Topeak site for information about this fender. This fender will give the trailer a different look. I’ll then have to consider what works best with the quad—The Planet Bike Fenders as we know them or fenders from Topeak. The Topeak fenders are less expensive. Notice, I’m also working the yellow integration.
I still have reflective tape to add. I wish the heat-shrink-tubing were reflective, although I can still use tape on the corners and on the fenders.
So, what do you think???
Next up: My flag & DiNotte Lighting mounts mentioned in my list yesterday.
