Test iPhone Streaming Video ~ 12/23 2

Below is a short vid that was streamed [introduced earlier today] live to the Internet [USTREAM] from my iPhone 3GS using my wireless router [in the black trunk at my WrkSta] as I rode on the street in front of my house. December 9, 2009, USTREAM’s  Live Broadcast was released 12/09/09. My iPhone streaming has a dedicated page—Video via iPhone.

Captain Creeg at work ~ 12/22 3

My BROL friends are really helping with ideas for my quad. Thanks to 2 individuals, Rick [BROL Member Tourezrick] & Captain Creeg [who you met day before yesterday] for their ideas. Of course, Terry [BROL member Tytrike]  is always there for me. I also thank others who have helped with comments and suggestions.

Here is Captain Creeg’s idea for a dune buggy.

He says:

Here’s some conceptual graphics based on the quad you’re considering. My idea is to use fiberglass tent poles. They’re cheap, strong, flexible, and readily available at WalMart and sporting goods stores should one break and you need to replace it. Might need to make custom connectors at the T-joints but I imagine you could even find those at the sporting goods stores or eBay.

The attachment points to the frame get a little tricky. In the back on the integrated rack, not so much. But up front it becomes a little tight for space to find a decent anchor point that doesn’t interfere with your legs or steering. The 3D models are my concept for a custom made receiver tube for the end of the fiberglass tent pole. It attaches at the axle bolts of the sidearms/struts/what-have-you of the front wheels.

Then it’s just a matter of attaching your canopy of choice to roll-up/roll-down.

So, what say yea all?

NEW & EXCITING! [Video via iPhone] 5

Earlier this month Apple approved a Ustream App that allows for non-jailbreak video streaming to the Internet from iPhones [The iPhone Finally Gets Live Video Streaming With Ustream Live ...]. I’ve set up a new blog page [Video via iPhone]  just for my iPhone Streaming.

The EXCITING part of this is that when cycling [like my tour this summer], I’ll give you live [real-time] video from the ride. I think that is the ultimate in my ability to share the cycling experience with you from my blog. At the moment, I’m having a problem with the OWLE microphone. Yes, OWLE Bubo will be used to hold the camera.
