Perhaps you read of my woes in finding a a quality camera for cycling action video. As I wait for a resolution to that issue, here is a general update on the WebCam Page and my camera placement.
- I simplified the page, placing instructions/notes at the bottom of the page. Each of the 4 video windows link you to larger video images using the Webcam 7 Player. There, you can select 1 of 2 video sources and the mode for the stream. The default mode, Flash FLV Stream, has audio [where I have turned it on].
- I currently have audio from my laptop and hope to have audio from the main camera [the one for which I'm waiting on a solution from Sony] on SCEPTER. The audio from my laptop is choppy. I’m waiting for an answer from the Webcam 7 software.
Cameras:
- Laptop – no change ~ resolution 640 x 480
- Workstation Camera – Replaced my Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 with my Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 ~ resolution 1600 x 1200
- SCEPTER Cam1 [waiting for Sony]
- SCEPTER Cam2 [Creative Labs' Live! Cam Optia AF] – no change ~ resolution –1600 x 1200

- Once I had my laptop in place, I noted it was awkward to hold it and use the keyboard. I added a shelf or porch to the base I added beneath the bag/box. It works very well as a laptop holder when the laptop is outside the box [photos above].
- The wood base [kind of like a suspension bridge] is to make the bungee attachment work better. I’ve had it just over a week. The base is to be painted black and end caps placed on the laptop support. Much more on the box later.
- Today, 12/02 is rain test day. We have moderate to heavy rain forecasted.
I received helpful comments from BROL’s Aqua. Thank you madam.
