[Live Video now has a dedicated page]
I have located even better video streaming software [Livestream Procaster--and it is free] than the software I had originally tested [plus it cost $85.00]. I can embed the video in my blog, display my desktop, and display both 2D & 3D. I’m working on integrating my iPhone 3GS.
With the project I’m working on, I’ll have pan & tilt control of the camera. Again, I’ll use it for any event coverage I blogcast. I know of no amateur doing this and I’m expanding its potential.
For now, there’s nothing interesting to view. This is a test. I’d like your feedback. This package has a chat feature. I look forward to reading your comment and/or chatting with you.
Jim
Cmts:
- Pardon the ads. The cost to not have them is $350.00 per month. I’m no business. You can ‘X” them.
- Chat is on…
- Panning & Tilting [previously tested] used today
- There is a 3 second delay. I do not know why.
- Also tested the laptop’s WebCam for LiveStream Video. It works well. Particularly when controlled by the LiveStream Studio.
- Thanks to MJ Klein, I used a different template that placed chat beneath the video, when not in the full-screen mode. Toggle and see what works best for you.
Pretty cool. I thought it was stop action until I saw the plants blowing gently in the breeze.
Hi Dennis, You are first to comment. I wish I had something more interesting. I’ll shift to the front of the house later. I’m tethered as I wait for my Tablet PC to be repaired. Anyway, this give you some idea what I have in mind and what you can see. Thanks! –jim
Camera relocated. All the straw is from the wind of the last 2 days. My yardman has his work cut out for him. Ocassionally you will see cars and pedestrians pass. –jim
… a car went by …
… and a green van … a white van … the car came back…
its pretty good.
Thanks Terry, I wish the FPS were higher. But, we have live video on the blog and that is good. I’ll soon do some pan & tilt from inside. Looking for another AC adapter for my iPaq now. I think it will provide for interesting cycling coverage, providing I place the camera well. –jim
You have mail? Walking person comes over well.
Tilts, Pans, [focus | refocus],
is there a zoom?
Yep, I think it will work for cycles being ridden. Of course I could go out and test. No zoom for this setup. Most Internet WebCams I see have little motion. At least I have some action. I have a FedEx delivery of my OWLE Bubo today. We’ll see that. –jim
Hey Jim, that is an amazing piece of software… it will be fun to see all that is possible with it!
Appreciate you showing it off.
Hi Rob, Indeed it is. The advertisements are not too annoying. This is another step in the process of enhancing live blogcast of events such as Maria Parker’s ride using SCEPTER [my creation for doing so--earlier posts in my blog]. Thanks for comimg over and for your comment. –jim
Hi,
Just got a moment to check in between parade setups. It looks dark there but I can see what appears to be tree movements and I hear a little static through my speakers that corresponds with the tree movement.
Lookin’ good!
- Zeke
Hi Zeke, I just getting back after a computer call. It is time to bring the WebCam in. It met and passed all I expected of it today. The next significant test [in a couple of weeks] will be with my Tablet PC and a WiFi feed to the Internet. Enjoy the parade tomorrow. Take some pictures. See Ya…
Jim
Just checked in … to a black screen!
Oh yea, its not 2:30 PST at your place.
Another device needed for night vision.
Occasionally it shows streaked motor vehicle lights.
Nope dark here. Time to bring SCEPTER in. I’ll get some infared lights and see how it goes. I’ve confirmed a lot today. Now to do more research on interfacing me iPhone with this setup. The first real deployment will be fun. See ya…
Jim
Jim,
That streaming video is amazing. It is a little strange watching you in your home but the potential for this tech makes the mind wander.
I am honoured you embraced the acronym I suggested. Silk was a big inspiration for me before I bought my Catrike so it is nice to give a little back.
Drew
Thanks Drew. One way to try to get it right is to test, rehearse, find the bugs, and then bring it to the public. I’m doing my best to make that easy and with no surprises. Glad you are here and welcome to my home. I’ll let my mind explore the potential. –jim
Jim, the chat window covers the video screen at the user end. seems strange.
Hi MJ, Earlier todaym to my knowledge, it did not. I’m testing to find the problems. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll see what is going on. –ji
MJ, It is done. Please try a chat now. Thanks! –jim
Sound and pictures here on the Left Coast. Sounds like it is raining in Fayetteville.
Very Cool Jim. If you get this while you’re “on the air” give me a shoutout!
Thanks! …and we are shouting. Good to chat!!!
