A Hat for my Cat, thanks to Terry 6

5128_100419400778_547330778_2472943_1494762_nToday, I received my Catlike Helmet from La Bicicllette in Vancouver, Canada via the good graces of  Terry Stankunas [BROL Member tytrike]. Terry and I worked the Giraldo Tour and have both commented on other BROL Threads. We are also Facebook friends. Terry made easier the purchase of a helmet that is in high demand. Thanks many times to Terry for doing a friend a favor. If I am fortunate, I will ride with Mr. Stankunas one day.

Catlike Whisper PlusThe Catlike Helmet in made in Spain. I have the Whisper Plus version. You may have seen riders wearing it in the Tour de France.  I certainly noticed it when Mark Egland on Big Cat, HPV wore his to ride with Mr. Giraldo. With Mark’s good wishes, I perused getting one, but in black—what else?

Tour of Discovery - Day 83 038 So, where is the black hat to go with my Catrike 700. Here it is…

A blooming model sure would have made this task easier. Anyway, you have some idea how the helmet looks on yours truly. Photo from my iPhone. It’s about the Catlike Whisper Plus Helmet anyway.

Thanks Terry!!!

    • Hey Ron,

Got it too late today to ride. I’ll do my best for tomorrow and post the results here. I have ridden Giro and Specialized without wind noise problems. Mark at Big Cat has many miles with his. I’ll be back…

    • Not this time, That is my giving a feeble attempt at a self-portrait with my iPhone–first time. It is different. Now if it had been video, maybe. Actually, I’m waiting for the return of my Tablet PC to deploy the machine. Thanks Zeke! –jim

  1. Kevin at Labicicletta in Vancouver, Canada says they sell a lot of these helmets over the WEB to Americans who have a hard time finding them. The store specializes in high end Road bikes. They, and a dozen other outdoor stores, are located within sight of Mountain Equipment Coop so local shopping is pretty easy for whatever you want. The new commuter train stops 2 blocks away – the train takes bikes real easy – wonder if it allows trikes? they would fit.

    Jim you look good …
the helmet seems very sturdy, yet is almost weighless. Those vents should keep any head COOL.

    • Thanks Terry, I appreciate your comment. I agree with you assessment of the helmet. I especially trust it will keep me with a COOL head. BTW Terry also posted on BROL. He says:

      See…gorgeous.
It just feels strong. Others are sure to copy the air vents.
So lite the box and styro packaging cost more to ship than the helmet.

Did I see a couple of plugs? …covering holes to secure a visor?

Okay, tell us what you think...
