A Surprise Feature 10

Gizmodo Article

Hey, that’s my picture!

Where’s the credit, although there is a link to my flickr photograph. Pdxnative [a BROL Member] pointed out the Gizmodo Feature in a BROL thread this morning. THANKS and thanks to Jack Loftus of Gizmodo for including it [my photo] in their blog.

I submitted the following comment to the article:

Thanks for using one of my [jalexartis] pictures of my adaptation to protect my iPhone 3GS from rain. I’ve done so for 3 of my 7 cycles. See more at my blog or my flickr photoset.

It’s pretty cool to have Universal exposure twice in one year: this article and the Rails to Trails Article.

Thanks also to my readers, who inspire me.

  1. I submitted [and saw them posted] the comment you see above, plus one additional comment. Both have vanished from the blog. I’m submitting the comment above again. I’ll see what happens. –jim

    • Well, they appeared to have been posted. Maybe, they were pending approval [pink background] and were not approved for posting. The comment I posted several minutes ago seems to be in an approval queue.

      • Well, it seems “Gizmodo” likes my photograph, but not my comment. Two submissions and my comment is not showing. There is nothing bad in my comment:

Edit: My 2 comments now show–just a slow approval process. Thanks!

    • Hi Jason.

I am using a Semsoms.com handlebar mount that I modified to be a stem mount for my road bike and my RANS Crank Forward Bike. Details can be found in the first 2 articles below.

I have published details on my modification. I’m looking on other site for it. I’ll be back–found it!

      Hi Mark,

I used one of my large handlebar mounts for my DiNotte lights for the base of the Semsons.com mount. I removed 1/2 of the light mounting arm so I have a one-hole arm to place the long bolt from the Semsons.com mount. I used my heat gun to remove it. I could have gotten another bolt from a hardware store, but choose not to. I used a nut on top to lock the bolt to the arm. I then reassembled the Semsons.com mount. The result is what you see in the picture [of my CF mount & DF mount]. What I have described here are the “few mods.” I hope the helps. –jim

Thanks for asking and I hope this helps. –jim
