You may have seen my earlier elevation profile created using GPS Visualizer. Well, thanks to Terry, I’ve tried another that I’m liking for its simplicity in setting up the route, etc. It is BikeRoute Toaster. Select Course Creator and you are on your way [using Google Maps]. Select the Summary Tab to see [an instantaneous] elevation profile. There’re also metrics which I like more than the numbers in the margin of my earlier elevation profile.

After you have seen the profile and looked at the numbers, you can over-fly your route using Google Earth to virtually ride your route. Do this by clicking on "View in Google Earth (kml)" at the bottom of the Download Box on the Summary Tab. Of course, you are served with Google Ads on 3 of the 4 tabs. The Cue Sheet Tab give you printable directions [turns] for your ride.

I think this is a "keeper." It is web-based. Donations are welcomed.
