I subscribed to the RSS feed of your blog because you were posting some interesting info about recumbent cycling. But lately, the vast majority of your posts are regarding Mr. Giraldo’s tour. If I wanted hourly updates on his trip, then I would get them directly from his message board. You might want to consider compiling updates about Mr. G to a once-a-day post or something. You know, quality over quantity. Otherwise, there’s a very high ratio of noise to signal on your blog, and I will probably unsubscribe and stop reading.
I wish I knew your name so that I have a “named person” to whom I am responding. Thank you for your comments and concern.
I’m sorry you are soon to be an ex-subscriber. This blog is intended to provide information on “Cycling Experiences…,” which for me include my experiences and those my readers have an interest in. I judge reader interest by posts read on a daily basis and well as interest I see on other websites I participate in.
In terms of quantity. Mr. G. [who is riding a recumbent trike] had a tire problem yesterday where responses from individuals reading this blog and other board now have him underway [again today]. I’m a helper! We helped him yesterday. As with RAAM, the Mr. G story will come to an end and maybe topics more to your liking will be posted. My blog also documents aspects of his journey that would not otherwise be documented.
As a reader, when I have content I’m not interested in, I scan and go on to articles that I am interested in. The search function or selective RSS feeds may do that for you.
As I see articles on my ‘bents, I think the future may be promising. I will soon be riding and writing about a faired Catrike 700. I may be getting a titanium or carbon Xstream mid-racer from RANS as a replacement for my RANS Stratus XP. There will always be recumbent articles published. At the same time, please note that I have others clambering for more on topics that are not of your interest at this time. I have recumbent company owners [Catrike & RANS] commenting on the effectiveness of what I try to do here.
Balance can be difficult to achieve. I strive for it; but, in this case I have let you down. I am sorry! The reality of publishing is that a writer will not satisfy 100-percent of his/her readers all the time. I value you communicating your thoughts and desires. I ask that you visit periodically to see if there are articles of your interest.
