One of my regular readers, David, says I’m not fixed a my current set of 7 cycles and that I’ll buy another one. Well, I have no immediate plans to do so and if I did, FIFO would be a reasonable plan to discharge one of my 7. You see, David is pining for my VK2. An alternate discharge plan could be could be in-kind. Buy, a low-racer, bump a low-racer. So, what’s the picture above about—just a cool French Carbon Fiber low-racer from Zockra. Hey, I’m content with my VK2 and the Magnificent 7 that I have. Sorry David…

I’ll bet you did not know… Reply
…that I write reasonably good German. Well, neither did I. Although, having live in the country for 4 years, I do recognize a few words and can get around there. Thanks to Google we can all "write" in many foreign languages. Thanks to the German reader for visits to my blog.
If I could be someplace special today… 2
I‘d be at the Hellyer Park Velodrome, San Jose, California, for today’s HPV Recumbent Racing. I’d even give racing a go on my Vk2 and Cartike 700, especially if it were faired like Jeff Bales‘. If I didn’t race, I’d be content to watch. Well it is almost race time, scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. PT. The events are: [event details]
- 200 meters
- Juniors (17 and Under)
- Newcomers Race
- Group Races
- Trike Race
- Australian Pursuit
- Half Hour Race
This is what Jeff raced: [Thanks to Mark Mervich for the photo and his permission to use it. Click the picture to see more from his photostream.]
If you wonder why my interest is piqued for this race: well I love cycling; I’ve attended cycle races and they are fun; I’d even like to race at some point in my life; and more importantly [at the moment], I will be fairing my CT700 and want to see how the faired 700 “fares” against its competition. Of course, the engine is a part of the mix. Jeff seems to be a strong rider.
Cycles Slide Show Reply
Rather than static pictures, each cycle page now has a flickr slide show—some with more pictures than others. The slides will change overtime. So, check periodically to see what’s new. Clicking on a picture will take to that photo on my flickr account where you can see a larger picture of other pictures in that set. You control the show.
Use the new page selection bar at the top of each cycle page to easily navigate the cycle pages.
