I’m ready! 1

Ready to place my order for a GoblinCricket Tail Fairing by Jeff Bales of GoblinMotors. I had hoped to order last Wednesday, 05/20, but still want some aero stats, i.e., roll-down data for the fairing. Jeff had planned to do so earlier, but wind and the repainting of his fairing delayed the testing. Jeff plans again for tomorrow, 05/24. Hopefully, we’ll have some results soon. I’m trying to not let my heart rule here.

OTOH, I need to get my order in if I’m to have a finished trike for the ’09 Niagara Rally, mid-August. Of course, I’m planning to buy both the tail and front fairings—no pictures yet of the front fairing. Jeff’s tidbits are enticing, especially the front full fender/wheelcovers and hard shell seat. There are also other morsels that intrigue me.

I do not know if a shinny black finish [Jeff's Basic Black] is what I want for Silk, or a more stealthy black finish. I’m thinking stealthy, with both the tail and front fairings being painted at the same time and then clear coated after the decals are placed on them. Ordering the DIY kit gives me additional flexibility on accessory placement before painting, particularly for the front fairing. Who knows, I may even find a suitable place for my DiNotte 400L Taillights.

Non-the-less, I’m ready to order and get about the business of finishing the “Silk faired mode.”
