Hi David, I appreciate your advisement. A raw fairing will better allow me to position my taillights. After that, I'm thinking of just doing the sanding and have a car & body shop finish. I would not want a "spray paint job." I realize I pay more than the $100, but I can get the shade and finish I want. If I decide to flock that even another path. I'm thinking I have more options with a raw fairing than a finished black on where I do not know what shade of black I'll be getting. I do not need access to the batteries. The cables connected to them give me charging access. On the bladder I think I can from the pictures. By getting the racing version, I expect to save some weight and likely have a stronger, less problematic structure. I'm waiting to see Jeff pictures of his storage version. --jim

Jim,

My unsolicited $.02... By the time you buy the bondo, correct grit of sandpaper and spray paint, won't your savings be less than $100? For that savings, it might be worth leaving it to someone with more experience. Also, will you be able to get to your Dinotte batteries and water blader with the tailbox mounted? The storage option would be nice.
