I can definitely tell the SXP is heavier, although it will “scoot.” It is difficult to maintain a high speed [say 17+ mph]. Plus today was very windy [14 mph at Fort Bragg/Simmons Army Airfield]. It was much more harsh where we rode–honest.

Tomorrow, I will ride my DF. It will be the first time this year [for no particular reason--maybe focused on the trike].

SXP receives a calling… Reply

Little did I know, as I prepared my SXP for today’s ride with Tim, that I need to use it for transportation to deliver a print job. I left my headlights [when it rains--lights on] on yesterday and killed my battery–no boost available at 10:00 p.m. So, my thought is ride.

The fact that I began the ride in the dark was not a problem–I have a 4-tier lighting system. I just have a few hills to climb–all to make me stronger for hills to come this summer.

I will likely use the XP to get to my 2:00 p.m. ride and return. That will give me 4 SPX rides today. I haven ridden this bike since last December during FestiVELO in Charleston, South Carolina. Of course all my transportation rides are with traffic. So far, no problems.
