Finally, another Fayetteville ride Reply

Rode with Timothy Dale [BROL member tjdale] in the Eastover area of Fayetteville, both on our trikes. Tim rides a WizWheelz. Here is the GPS data: 0804191611Eastover. We plan an 7:00 a.m. ride tomorrow morning. Although our moving average speed (14.5 mph) is not as good as it will get, it was better than my previous 12.1 & 13.1 mph averages for solo trike rides along the same route.

TD is the team leader of Team Laid Back for the Face of America Ride next weekend from Bethesda, Maryland to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We have 4 recumbent riders on the team.

2008 Face of America Bike Ride Reply

To honor service members who have served, made the ultimate sacrifice, or may have been wounded or disabled during their combat experience, I ask that you join me and other participants in the 2008 Face of America Bike Ride, a two-day inclusive bike ride from Bethesda, Maryland to historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to honor and assist our disabled veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This ride offers the unique opportunity for anybody to ride side by side with these heroes and personally encourage them and let them know that they can still be active athletes and still be a part of the TEAM. So, join us for the two-day cycling event.

If you cannot ride with us, I ask that you please consider a making a donation. The money raised will pay for all the costs of the active duty participants, including accommodations, food, outreach, providing usage of bikes, cycling clinics, and all other costs associated with the ride. Thanks for your consideration and thank you for supporting World Team Sports.

Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
