Could this be the device I should use for my safety and to allow loved one to track my progress as I cycle about the country–particularly solo treks?

12/24/08 as I prepared to post a video and consider this for an ’09 purchase, I found this review and user comments.  The comments are important. Looks like Spot is not ready for my dollars yet, particularily in my tight budget situation. I do want a better solution for cycling tours. Since, I’m not touring now, I can wait.  Stay tuned…
