DiNotte Switches Reply

During the 2008 Catrike Rally, Fatcat [from the Catrike Board]. had DiNotte switches on his Expedition that turned on 4 DiNotte lights at one time. I told him “I wish you had not done that.” Reason–I would want the same control. Well, I ordered and received them last week. I just got to take a picture today. Rob, at DiNotte recommends a switch not be used for more than one battery. I decided I’d use a switch for the front lights and one for the rear lights.

The switch just in front of the bell, turns the strobe light on and off.

G
iven, the DiNotte Switch location, I placed the batteries on the bottom tube, just behind the crucible member.

A control tube of a different sort 1

This setup has essentially the same functions as my previous control tube. I’m using the iHome iH85B Speaker instead of the former tube. The cell phone, horn, and solar cell are mounted on it. The “it” is the iHome iH85B Speaker. By placing the speaker here, I eliminated the toggle switch for turning the speaker on/off. I placed the strobe toggle on the left handlebar. Moving the speaker also freed space in the bottom tube bag.

Silk, set for touring Reply

Initially, I setup silk for touring and then a “lite” setup. I’ve made a few modifications and here is the revised touring setup. I moved my iHome iH85B Speaker to the boom and placed the Arkel Tail Rider Bag on the rack. I also moved the flag further back to allow more helmet clearance and thereby, the DiNotte taillights are also moved. They are on a bar just beneath the bag.
