In the End… Reply

Well, at 4:30 a.m., I thought I had a practical and good looking configuration for my safety and trying to maintain the lines I have for the VK2. I found a neat way to mount the lights just behind the seat, about where my head/helmet rest when I’m fully reclined. I spent hours just getting the lamp bracket parallel to the ground.

At, 6:50 a.m., I decided to mount the light on the front of the bike and to orient them to the front. The found themselves on the derailleur post. I prototyped a small bracket, using 3/4 ” PVC pipe. I think I like this. Picked up more PVC pipe, black shrink wrap, and end caps. I think it looks good, plus I think the lights are more practical mounted where I now have them.

I did’t get in a ride Reply

I opted to wait for my lights and then to pick them up. I then spent all night–until 4:30 a.m. working on the best VK2 setup. I had planned to ride my 27-mile route. I guess the fact it was raining most of the day was not a factor, after all, I have rain gear.
