Today I rode just over 27 miles with 3 maximum speeds reported at over 40 mph. Satellite reception was poor however. The speed report may not be accurate. On the other-hand, if true, I will have realized my goal to ride at speeds in excess of 40 mph. I was not pushing speed today–average speed 18.3 mph.

Although in the past, I’ve had excellent reception with the GPS located where it is and along this route, I’ll relocate the GPS and ride again. By relocation, I also make room for the Garmin GPSmap 76CSx, should I need mapping on my lowracer.

BTW, the new wheel is nice to ride. There were no handling problems. If I’m riding over 40 mph, then the wheel makes a speed difference. I also have to get my ‘bent muscles back to their peak.
